Four players have not been spotted in Manchester United training as they prepare for their Europa League clash against Barcleona.

Travelling to Spain for the opening leg of the tie, Manchester United will be looking for a historic win at the Nou Camp as Erik ten Hag’s men prepare to fly later on Wednesday afternoon.

With early morning training commencing at Carrington ahead of their flight to the Catalan city, reporters spotted that four players were absent from training, while others who are suspended for the tie still stepped in with the rest of the squad.

Marcel Sabtizer, who is suspended for the fixture due to yellow card accumulation in the group stage of the Champions League with Bayern Munich, was not spotted training with the main group.

Lisandro Martinez, who is also suspended, however, was training with his usual energy and laughter, helping Ten Hag prepare his squad for what will no doubt be an fiery and intense fixture.

Another player who was absent from training is Brazilian winger, Antony. Originally ruled out for the Leeds United fixture at Old Trafford last week with a minor leg problem, it was expected that he would be fit in time to play Barcelona; however that no longer looks the case.

Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay were also not spotted in training as both players recover from slightly longer-term problems.

Young players among those spotted include Zidane Iqbal and Kobbie Mainoo, as well as Facundo Pellistri and Alejandro Garnacho.
