“First time…” – Antony breaks silence on Real Betis loan and makes feelings extremely clear

Manchester United winger Antony completed his loan move to Real Betis on Saturday to keep him at the Spanish side until the end of the season.
Antony, 24, has encountered difficulties since his high-profile £85 million transfer from Ajax to Manchester United in the summer of 2022.
The Brazilian winger has found it challenging to adapt to the demands of the Premier League, managing to score only five league goals since his arrival.
After Erik ten Hag’s departure earlier this year, there has been widespread speculation about Antony’s future at the club, with many questioning whether he might also move on.
It quickly became apparent under new head coach Ruben Amorim that the best course of action for the winger would be to depart on loan, with Real Betis taking him for the rest of the season.
He travelled to Spain after United’s game against Rangers on Thursday and his loan move has since been confirmed by the La Liga club.
Antony breaks silence after
Antony issued his first message to Betis supporters shortly after the announcement and it is clear that he is excited to start this new chapter in his career.
“Hello Beticos! It’s my first time visiting this stadium with this kit, I’m really excited,” he said on Betis’ social media channels whilst inside of the Benito Villamarín Stadium.
“It’s a really nice and big stadium. I’m looking forward to playing here and representing you all.”
The winger was not signed in time for the Spanish side’s clash against Mallorca on Saturday afternoon, which ended in a 1-0 victory.
But he will be hoping to make his debut on 2 February when Betis face Athletic Club in a difficult La Liga encounter.

United fans will be hoping that Antony gets consistent game-time for the rest of the season and impresses, which could help raise his value ahead of an inevitable summer sale.
