Facundo Pellsitri has explained why his debut for Manchester United was a “perfect night”.
Facundo Pellistri made his Manchester United debut last season, in a cup fixture against Charlton Athletic under Erik ten Hag.
He has had a tough time trying to break into the United squad, however, this season has seen him start for both club and country in competitive fixtures – including in the 2022 World Cup.

Speaking to club media, Pellistri described how proud a moment making his debut for the club was for him, and that it is something you’ll always look back on and cherish.
“Yes, it was incredible,” he said. “Making your debut is amazing. But sometimes, of course, you can play only eight or 10 minutes and sometimes you may not touch the ball, but, in that case, I touched the ball and I could assist Marcus (Rashford).
“So it was a perfect night. And I remember it. Me and my family remember that night.”
When questioned on how he has found playing in the Premier League, he was quick to explain that he is used to the intensity as the high-level playing is often replicated in training.
“The Premier League is, of course, one of the best leagues in the world. Yes, it’s a good league with a lot of intensity. Of course, the way we train here in Carrington, it’s almost the same way that the Premier League is.
“We also have the best players here and the quality of training is high-intensity. So, in that way, I’m quite ready with that. But as you said, playing a match, of course, sometimes it’s different than training, but the rhythm and all that is high.
“But here in training, we do very good training sessions.”
