Fabrizio Romano has delivered the latest update on Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United after Ruben Amorim’s comments on the situation.

Marcus Rashford recently addressed speculation about his Manchester United future during an interview with Henry Winter on social media platform X.

Under new boss Ruben Amorim, Rashford netted three goals in two Premier League starts but was left out of the Manchester Derby squad following a disappointing performance against Viktoria Plzen.

“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” admitted the English forward earlier this week.

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.”

Amorim has since responded to the comments from his player in his pre-match press conference before the Carabao Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur.

“He is right,” smiled Amorim when asked about Rashford wanting a new challenge. “We have here a new challenge, the biggest in football, we are in a difficult situation. I hope all my players are ready.”

The Portuguese head coach added: “What I want is to take the best of Marcus Rashford and the other players. I don’t talk about the future. I talk about the present.”

Fabrizio Romano on Marcus Rashford’s situation

Fabrizio Romano has delivered the latest news on Rashford, claiming that there is a ‘concrete possibility’ the 27-year-old leaves Old Trafford in one of the next two transfer windows.

However, despite rumours surrounding Arsenal and other clubs eyeing the forward, Romano explains that there has been no approach from any club for the player.

“On Rashford, there’s of course concrete possibility to leave in 2025, for sure,” the Italian journalist wrote on GiveMeSport.

“Let’s see if January or summer. Man United have not received any formal approach from clubs yet, it’s still early.”

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano added: “The dream of Marcus Rashford is to play in Spain, he would love to play in Spain one day.”

It remains to be seen who will come forward for a potential deal for the player with a reported £40 million price tag but an exit seems to be on the horizon.
