Fabrizio Romano reveals final Lisandro Martínez return date as Ruben Amorim receives huge boost

Fabrizio Romano has revealed when we can expect to see Lisandro Martínez back on the pitch for Manchester United as he closes in on a return from injury.

Lisandro Martínez recently returned to full training at Manchester United after being sidelined since February due to a torn ACL.

His comeback coincides with an optimistic atmosphere at the club, as United are unbeaten across their last five Premier League outings.

Although Ruben Amorim has praised Martínez’s progress in training, he is still wary of rushing the defender back into action too soon and decided against using him before the international break.

Martínez has since travelled with the Argentina national team. He will not participate in games for Lionel Scaloni’s side but is working hard in training with their squad.

Romano reveals final Martínez return date

Martínez’s return to action is much-anticipated among United fans and Fabrizio Romano has provided a boost in his latest Instagram post.

The Italian reporter has explained that Martínez will return to United’s squad after the international break, and that he’s ‘improving his fitness’ with the Argentina squad.

United’s next game comes against Everton at home on Monday, 24 November and Romano’s report suggests that Martínez could appear in that clash.

While he is unlikely to start the clash, with Luke Shaw in solid form, the Argentine could make an appearance off the bench. It would be his first time on the pitch since a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in February.

Martínez return is huge boost for United

Martínez’s return to action will be a huge boost for Amorim, who will remember how the Argentine was one of his best-performing players during his first few months in charge of United.

With new attacking players like Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, United are currently missing someone at the back who can find them in behind the opposition defence with a perfectly weighted pass.

That is one of the many attributes that Martínez brings to the table and United will be hoping that he can reach that level of performance very soon.

But as we have learnt with Amorim, he will not push Martínez too fast and further patience will be needed even when he is back in action after the international break.
