Fabrizio Romano hands £130m transfer update with Manchester United target now “one to watch” transfer

Fabrizio Romano has handed Manchester United two transfer updates amid one of their summer targets becoming a “one to watch” situation.

Manchester United are undergoing a major squad overhaul this summer after a disappointing season and missing out on European football.

Rúben Amorim has already secured the signings of Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon, and continues to pursue a deal for Bryan Mbeumo. Further additions will likely depend on funds raised through player sales.

The club are aiming to part ways with several players, including Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho, though finding suitable buyers has proven difficult.

Rashford is reportedly nearing a move to Barcelona, Sancho is said to have agreed personal terms with Juventus, and Garnacho is keen to stay in the Premier League.

Romano confirms Chelsea are watching Garnacho

Previous reports have stated that if Garnacho were to stay in England, he would like to move to London, with Chelsea the most realistic destination. United are reportedly willing to sell for around £70 million.

In his latest YouTube update, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea are seriously considering a further addition to their attack and are monitoring Garnacho’s situation.

“Chelsea, from what I’m hearing, could have one more addition up front,” Romano explained. “That’s something they’re seriously considering, so let’s see what’s going to happen there.

“The name of Garnacho remains one of the options available eventually this summer for Chelsea because he has to leave Manchester United.

“He wants to stay in Premier League, and so Chelsea are aware of this situation, but as of today still not submitting any official bid or starting any talk, so just an internal discussion about options, and Garnacho is one of them.”

Jackson’s transfer becoming one to watch

Further, the Italian journalist stated that the future of Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson is also one to watch this summer.

With United needing a new striker and eyeing Premier League experience in their signings, it has been reported that £60 million-rated Jackson is a name in their sights.

“The feeling of Chelsea is that one or two players up front could still leave the club in this summer transfer window, so basically in the next 40 days.

“Nicolas Jackson is attracting a lot of interest in England and not only. There was some interest from AC Milan, but from what I’m hearing for Milan this is almost impossible financially, and also Milan are focusing on different players at this stage.

“So this story for Nicholas Jackson and Milan has gone quiet, but there are more clubs around Europe interested in the striker, so he could be one to watch, because he’s not a player Chelsea want to sell, but if they receive a good proposal, there is a chance for him to go.”
