Manchester United defender Harry Amass will be assessed after suffering a knock in the Under-18s Premier League National Final against Chelsea.

Amass, 17, was one of United’s best players on the evening as they won their third trophy of an extremely successful season. Ethan Wheatley and Ethan Williams scored in a 2-1 win.

The left-back has enjoyed major progression this term, having been included in six consecutive Premier League matchday squads.

Erik ten Hag also included the 17-year-old defender in his squad to face Coventry City at Wembley in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

While Amass has yet to make an appearance, the experience being around the squad on a day-to-day basis seems to be helping his game.

However, club sources confirmed to UtdDistrict that Amass suffered a knock in the Under-18s Premier League National Final against The Blues on Tuesday. The knock will be assessed in the coming days.

While the details of the potential injury were not specified, Amass was spotted wearing a protective boot on his right leg during the Under-18s trophy celebration at half-time against Newcastle at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

United are currently without any fit left-backs in the squad, and Luke Shaw is unlikely to return for the FA Cup final.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot have been splitting the left-back duties between them in recent months, with Amass a regular on the bench.

The teenager will certainly want to be fit to make the squad for United’s final and most important game of the season.
