Every player suspended & injured from Brentford vs Manchester United as Premier League confirm match referee

The Premier League have confirmed who will officiate Manchester United’s upcoming trip to face Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United will kick off the Premier League weekend when they travel to Brentford in West London on Saturday afternoon.

Rúben Amorim’s team have recorded two wins, two losses and a draw in the league so far, leaving them 11th in the table and facing questions about whether they can establish any kind of steady form.

United’s victories came through a late Bruno Fernandes penalty against Burnley and a 2-0 win over Chelsea last week, a result shaped by Robert Sánchez’s red card that gave them full control of the game.

Having beaten Enzo Maresca’s side, Amorim now has the opportunity to secure back-to-back league wins for the first time in his tenure – a step that could help spark the consistency his side have been lacking.

Craig Pawson (pictured above) will be the referee on Saturday afternoon in Manchester. Pawson officiated 22 Premier League fixtures last season, four UEFA matches, and five across other domestic competitions.

Pawson officiated United twice last season: A 2-1 loss away from home against Brighton and a 3-0 loss at Old Trafford against Bournemouth.

Last season, Pawson issued 96 yellow cards in the Premier League and 121 across all competitions. He issued five red cards last season across all competitions, three of which were straight dismissals. He also awarded eight penalties, five of which came in the Premier League.

During the game, Lee Betts and Mat Wilkes will serve as Pawson’s assistant referees. Ben Toner will be the fourth official on Saturday afternoon, separating Amorim and Keith Andrews.

Andy Madley has been appointed as the Video Assistant Referee. Nick Hopton will act as assistant VAR.

United hit with injuries and suspension

Last season, Amorim was plagued by a host of injury problems that derailed his Premier League campaign, forcing the head coach to place all his eggs in the Europa League basket.

This season, although Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount missed the fixture against Manchester City last week, they were both able to return and face Chelsea, coming off the bench in the second half.

But, United will still be without Lisandro Martínez when they travel to London and are sweating on the fitness of Diogo Dalot, who has missed the last two games due to injury. Casemiro’s red card against Chelsea means he will be suspended for the tie, but he is expected to return next weekend.

For Brentford, Andrews has a clean bill of health and a fully fit squad to pick from. At the same time, Brentford also have no suspensions to compensate for.
