Every player who has left Manchester United in the 2025 summer transfer window, as Rúben Amorim looks to upheave the talent at his disposal this summer.
Manchester United’s 2025 summer transfer window marks a period of major transition under Rúben Amorim, with sweeping changes being made to the first-team squad.
Several young talents — including Chido Obi, Sekou Kone, and Ayden Heaven — are expected to play a bigger role next season, but a broader overhaul could signal a significant shift in the club’s core personnel.
This is the first summer window since the appointments of Rúben Amorim as head coach, Jason Wilcox as technical director, Omar Berrada as CEO, and Christopher Vivall as director of recruitment — a new leadership team now shaping United’s future.
This page will be regularly updated with full details of every player Manchester United sells or lets go of during the 2025 summer transfer window.

Marcus Rashford
Signed for: Barcelona on a season-long loan contract.
Contract length: An initial one-year loan that could become a permanent transfer next summer for £26 million.

Sonny Aljofree
Signed for: League Two side Notts County on a season-long loan contract.
Contract length: One year.
Key information: The 20-year-old centre-back spent last season on loan with Accrington Stanley in League Two.
What has been said: Notts County Director of Football, Roberto Gagliardi, said: “Sonny’s maturity is reflected in the leadership roles he’s been given and the high esteem he’s held in by United. Combined with the fact he’s the son of former Plymouth defender, Hasney Aljofree, he has a very strong footballing pedigree.
“We faced strong competition from a number of League One clubs to sign him, and we look forward to supporting his continued development.”
Habeeb Ogunneye

“First team football will be another challenge for him, but I think he’ll be another player our supporters will all really like.’’

Contract length: One year.
Key information: The 20-year-old midfielder also spent the second half of last season on loan at Rotherham, but only made three appearances due to injury
What has been said: “Despite injury restricting him to just three appearances during his initial spell at AESSEAL New York Stadium, Gore gave a clear indication of his quality,” Rotherham’s official club website wrote.
“He grabbed an assist within minutes of coming off the bench in the away clash with eventual champions Birmingham City – setting up Sam Nombe’s opener – and continued to impress in his following two outings before injury curtailed his involvement.”
Joe Hugill
Signed for: League Two side Barnet on a season-long loan contract.
Contract length: One year.
Key information: The 21-year-old striker has impressed in various pre-season fixtures, but is likely to be released once his contract at United expires next summer.
What has been said: “We’ve been after this type of player for a long time. Even though he’s tall, his movements and attributes are all in behind,” Manager Dean Brennan said of Hugill.
“He’s got pace, excellent finisher, very dynamic – we want him to look down the barrel of the goal. He’s such an exciting player, he’s like a Jamie Vardy/Michael Owen type.”
Who else could leave United this summer?
While those mentioned above have already had their exits confirmed, there are many who may walk through the doors at Old Trafford for a final time.
Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia, and Antony are all expected to leave the club after Amorim informed them they were not welcome back to the first team.
Jadon Sancho is reportedly close to securing a move to Juventus, while Antony wants to re-sign with Real Betis after his six-month loan at the La Liga club. Garnacho wants to remain in the Premier League, while there is little news on Malacia.
United are also expected to continue to loan out several youth players in the coming weeks.
