Erik ten Hag’s new Manchester United striker worth €100m across three transfers
Rasmus Højlund will become Erik ten Hag’s third signing of the summer after Manchester United agreed a fee with Atalanta.
Manchester United will reportedly pay a guaranteed fee of around £65 million for Rasmus Højlund, with a further £8.5m in add-ons.
He becomes the third player to sign for Erik ten Hag this summer, following in the footsteps of Mason Mount and André Onana through the doors of Carrington.

However, this is not the first time Højlund has transferred club – in fact, this is his third transfer since the start of 2022.
Højlund started his professional career with FC Copenhagen in 2021, where he then transferred to Austrian Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz for a fee of around £1.7m in January 2022.
After just seven months, Højlund was on the move again, signing for Atalanta for a fee just shy of £15m. He would go on to score nine goals and provide seven assists across all competitions, before securing his now pending move to Manchester United.
With the total package fee coming to £73m for his transfer to England, Højlund has now accumulated a transfer total of around £90m, or €104.5m.
At just the age of 20, this is an impressive feat, but he will no doubt have critics from the second he touches down in Manchester. Ten Hag is said to see a rough diamond in the player, and with his fantastic coaching skills, he could hone Højlund into one of the most lethal strikers in Europe.
