Erik ten Hag could have just two more matches as manager of Manchester United amid reports of an upcoming exit.

Ten Hag has experienced major difficulties during his second season in charge at United but he still has a chance to make it a success.

After the final Premier League clash against Brighton on Sunday, the Dutch manager and his team will travel to Wembley to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

However, INEOS have been assessing Ten Hag and their different options ahead of the summer window.

While recent reports have mostly stated that a decision has not been made, there seem to be developments occurring.

Clubs believe Ten Hag’s fate is sealed

According to a report from Simon Mullock of the Mirror, Ten Hag is still being looked at by both Bayern Munich and Ajax.

It was stated that those two clubs believe that Ten Hag’s fate is sealed and he will be departing Old Trafford at the end of the season even if he can help United win against the odds against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Ten Hag is looking for Ratcliffe to show commitment by offering him a new contract, but there have been no talks about an extension. It was added that sacking Ten Hag would cost £10 million.

Interestingly, Mullock has been an extremely reliable source for Ten Hag-related news since the Dutchman took charge at the Manchester-based club

The decision has surely been made, right?

Whether or not there is any truth to the above report, I think we can all agree that a decision from INEOS has already been made…right?

It seems typical United fashion to let a one-off game determine the direction you will head in for the long-term future, and INEOS seems to want to move away from those typical United decisions.

Ten Hag’s future is not confirmed, but we should assume that the likes of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford know exactly what they’re planning to do once the season concludes.
