Manchester United tightened their grip of the third place on the table as they flawlessly beat Leicester City 3-0, thanks to a brace from Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.

Despite coming very close to conceding a goal in the first half, Manchester United turned the tide around as they dominated the majority of the game to complete a league double over the Foxes, on Sunday.

In an interview with club media, Erik ten Hag highlighted the importance of Jadon Sancho and how has he kept his head right despite making his comeback, from a long break, just a few weeks earlier.

Besides scoring a goal, the young Brit could also have had an assist hadn’t Wout Weghorst squandered off his chance in the second half. The Dutchman also stated that there is still room for improvement for the U-17 World Cup winner.

“He’s in the right direction, but I think he doesn’t achieve in this moment his limits,” the manager explained. “[There is] a lot of space for improvement with him. Now already he is on a high level and I’m sure when he keeps especially the joy of football.

“Then it will really improve his performance and today you see when he’s coming on in the midfield position, [he makes] great runs, great passes.

“[He’s] good in possession. But what also gives me a lot of joy [is his] defence transition.”

The goal against Leicester City was Sancho’s second since his return and with two pivotal matches coming up for United, second leg against Barcelona and the Carabao Cup final, the youngster needs to retain his fine form and recreate his magic on the field.
