Erik ten Hag provides Man Utd injury update after Anthony Martial substitution vs Bournemouth
Anthony Martial was substituted on the 69th minute in Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Bournemouth and walked straight down the tunnel.
The Frenchman offered Ten Hag’s side impressive link-up and hold-up play to aid their offensive game but lacked the killer instinct to get himself on the scoresheet alongside Casemiro, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford.

After being replaced by Anthony Elanga, Martial walked towards the Old Trafford tunnel; something that worried supporters who recognise that he’s United’s only natural option up front.
However, Ten Hag provided a positive update on the no.9 following the victory: “Yes,” the manager admitted when asked if Martial had a knock. “But I think it will be fine.”
The Dutch coach believes that the forward is a crucial player for United and has expressed his appreciation for Martial’s contributions.
“I’m really happy with his performances across many games,” he told reporters ahead of Tuesday’s win. “He has a really good impact on our game. It’s really enjoyable to work with him.
“If you see the minutes he’s played and the impact he’s had so far, I think that’s really huge.”
With injuries always being a possibility with the Frenchman, United are also looking to strengthen the position this month but are only able to bring in players on loan after their heavy spending in the summer.
Joao Felix is one option but Atletico Madrid’s £16 million asking price for a six-month loan is putting The Reds off the deal.
