Erik ten Hag’s agent issues statement about new Manchester United contract
Erik ten Hag’s agent, Kees Vos, has issued a statement following Manchester United’s extension of the Dutch manager’s contract.
It was confirmed on Thursday morning that Ten Hag would remain at the club until the summer of 2026.
However, various reports have also explained that United triggered the one-year extension in the Dutchman’s existing contract.

Ten Hag’s job had been hanging in the balance towards the end of the 2023/24 campaign, but following a season review from the club’s co-owners, it was decided that Ten Hag’s tenure at the club would continue this summer and beyond.
Kees Vos, Ten Hag’s agent and board member of Sports Entertainment Group (SEG), released an official statement on Thursday following the club’s confirmation.
“It’s been quite a rollercoaster ride since Erik ten Hag joined Manchester United more than two years ago, but I’m proud to have been part of it,” Vos said.
“Today, we can announce that we will continue to be part of it: Erik ten Hag will stay in the red part of town for two more years. It was and is a pleasure working with all the people involved, from past to present.
“SEG is proud to have assisted both Erik and the new Manchester United football leadership team in making this extension possible. I am very much looking forward to visiting Old Trafford again.”
Ten Hag also released a separate statement, thanking SEG and his management team for their work throughout his career at United so far.
“I would like to thank my management team at SEG, who have supported me in every way on this journey,” Ten Hag said.
“Kees Ploegsma and Kees Vos have stood by me both personally and professionally. They have been pivotal in many ways, particularly in getting all parties aligned to continue this project together. I’m happy to be part of the SEG family.”
