Erik ten Hag explains what he told Man United stars to make Galatasaray fans do
Erik ten Hag has explained what he wants to make the Galatasaray fans do in their Champions League tie in Istanbul.
Manchester United will be taking on Galatasaray in the Champions League round five of the group stage, with Erik ten Hag needing a win to keep their hopes of qualifying for the competition’s knockout stages alive.
United currently sit bottom of Group A with just three points, having lost three of their four games so far, but a win against Galatasaray could propel them to second in the table, providing that Copenhagen fail to beat Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening.

Ten Hag has opted to start Rasmus Højlund, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho as his attacking trion for the game and has explained what he told his squad ahead of kick-off.
“I said to the team, I want to hear them [Galatasaray fans] whistling because they whistle when the opposition has the ball,” Ten Hag said ahead of the game. “When they whistle, it means we control the game.”
There were initial fears that the fixture may no go ahead due to poor weather at RAMS Park; however, as it stands, UEFA believes that the game will go ahead as normal.
United lost the reverse fixture 3-2 at Old Trafford and will be seeking revenge after Galatasaray cancelled out Rasmus Højlund’s two goals last time out.
