Manchester United have confirmed two loan departures so far this summer with Enzo Kana-Biyik heading out shortly after his arrival.
On Thursday morning, Manchester United confirmed the signing of promising young striker Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre, following his impressive campaign for their under-19 side last season.
Kana-Biyik strengthens United’s already talented group of young forwards, joining fellow academy standouts Gabriele Biancheri and Chido Obi.
The club’s commitment to youth development has been evident since Sir Jim Ratcliffe revamped the recruitment structure, placing Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell at the core of the project.
This summer has already seen multiple academy additions, including central defender Harley Emsden-James from Southampton and Paraguayan talent Diego Leon.
Kana-Biyik is the first of those additions to go and head out on loan, with confirmation that he will join INEOS-owned Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland.
Kana-Biyik breaks silence on United transfer
Playing for Lausanne-Sport next season will guarantee Kana-Biyik the game-time he needs at first-team level and he will hopefully return to Old Trafford next summer in a stronger position.
United do not often sign players and then send them straight out on loan, but there is a clear focus on youth development right now.
Reacting to his United move, Kana Biyik posted on Instagram: “I am very happy and proud to announce the signing of my first professional contract at Manchester United.
“Thank you to this historic club for trusting me and I hope that I can leave my mark there. It’s a new chapter of my life that is starting, new goals to achieve but the mindset is the same.
“A big thank you to all the people who contributed to my development, my coaches, my teammates, and my family.
“May all the Glory return to God because without him nothing of everything I could have done would be possible.”
United confirm second loan move
Kana-Biyik is not the only youngster to have their future for next season finalised, with Sonny Aljofree also having a loan deal confirmed.
This week United revealed that Aljofree has joined League Two outfit Notts County on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.

After captaining the Under-21s, Aljofree had a fruitful loan spell at Accrington Stanley, where he made 27 appearances across all competitions.
The centre-back will be looking to continue his positive development in Nottingham next season before then attempting to push into the United first-team or explore his options elsewhere.
