Dimitar Berbatov: It would be “premature” for Manchester United to sell winger
Dimitar Berbatov believes it would be “premature” for Manchester United to sell Jadon Sancho this summer.
Jadon Sancho has had a mixed career at Manchester United so far. Having played under three different managers across two seasons, he has struggled to find a consistent run in the team.
Originally signing for the club for a fee of £75 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, Sancho played 41 times under Erik ten Hag last season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.

However, Sancho has been linked with multiple moves away, with a loan move back to Dortmund and a permanent move to Tottenham Hotspur both having been suggested.
Speaking to BetFred, ex-Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has explained that he feels it is too soon to sell the player.
“I do believe it would be premature to sell Jadon,” he said.
“I think he needs at least one more season at the club to prove what he can do and show everybody that he still possesses all the qualities we saw from him at Borussia Dortmund.
“If he’s not good again next season, then it may be time to consider moving him on. He needs to prepare well for next season and he needs to have the right environment around him, on and off the pitch. If his head is in the right place, then I believe he will have a good season.”
