Confirmed match officials: Manchester United vs Southampton (Premier League)

Manchester United return to Premier League action against Southampton on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag would like to continue writing the wrongs of last weekend’s defeat against Liverpool, with Manchester United kicking off against the side currently placed 20th in the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Ten Hag said: “We have seen two weeks ago that Southampton beat Chelsea away, so we have to play an outstanding performance on Sunday to beat them.”
“I think games are good in the process and every game we are in a rhythm. We play the game but we have a game plan, we give them feedback and in that feedback, there’s often development points in the way of play.”
The officials set to referee the fixture have been confirmed by the Premier League.
Match referee
Anthony Taylor is the man who will be in charge of the fixture, refereeing his 20th Premier League match this season.
he has officiated three Manchester United fixtures so far this season most recently the 3-2 loss away against Arsenal.
Assistant referees
Taylor will be assisted by Gary Beswick and Lee Betts on the sidelines.
Video Assistant Referee
VAR will be handled by Andre Marriner, who was recently the official of Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in February, where Casemiro was sent off for violent conduct.
He will be assisted by Mark Perry.

Stuart Attwell will be the man to keep ordering a technical area as Erik ten Hag and Ruben Selles will no doubt be active on the touchline this coming Sunday.
