Confirmed match officials: Manchester United vs Burnley (EFL Cup)

The match officials have been announced for Manchester United’s clash against Burnley in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
After the six-week hiatus enforced by the Qatar World Cup, Manchester United return to competitive action by facing the high-flying Championship side, Burnley.
Erik ten Hag and his men shouldn’t expect an easy game against the recently relegated Premier League side as, under ex-Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany they have proven to be hard to beat, only losing two games in their league so far this season.
Here are the confirmed match officials for United’s game against Burnley:
Match referee
Graham Scott will be the man in charge at the centre circle and this will be the fifth time that the 54-year-old has refereed a game involving United.
In the eight games that he has refereed this season, Scott has given 24 yellow cards and two red cards.

This averages out as three yellow cards a game so it could be expected that some players might be walking on eggshells not wanting a second offence to be awarded with another yellow.
Assistant referees
The pair flanking Scott are Lee Betts and Harry Lennard who have assisted 38 League Cup games prior to this fixure.
Fourth official
The man standing between Erik ten Hag and Vincent Kompany is Darren Bond.
There is no VAR in this competition until the semifinals.
