CONFIRMED: Manchester United squad to face Chelsea in Premier League clash
Manchester United’s travelling squad to face Chelsea has been confirmed for the upcoming Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
United’s confirmed squad for the crucial encounter against The Blues in London boasts several key men returning to the squad.
In defence, Harry Maguire is with the squad and is expected to make his return to the XI. Among the recent injury setbacks for Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof, Erik ten Hag’s side have been bolstered by the return of Raphael Varane, who came off injured last time out.
The full-back positions are fortified by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot, although there is not a recognised back-up for either player in the squad, with Willy Kambwala not being sighted with the squad.
In midfield, Bruno Fernandes’s presence promises creativity and a goal-scoring threat, while Casemiro and Scott McTominay will likely be the ones battling it out for a position in the starting team.
Kobbie Mainoo will be making his 16th Premier League appearance of the seasom, while Sofyan Amrabat, Mason Mount, and Christian Eriksen add further depth and tactical flexibility to United’s midfield options should Ten Hag need a mid-game adjustment.
United are looking similar at the front of the pitch, barring the return from Amad Diallo, who was suspended last time out due to his red card against Liverpool in the FA Cup.
