CONFIRMED: 14 Manchester United players in FA Cup squad vs Newport revealed

Manchester United face up against Newport County in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon, and 14 players have been confirmed in the squad.

The Reds won 2-0 against Wigan Athletic in the third round earlier this month and are now facing the League Two outfit.

United will soon return to Premier League action, with a game against Wolves coming on Thursday, and hope to bring several players back into the fold against Newport.

Lisandro Martínez could get more minutes after appearing from the bench against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, and Casemiro could make his return after remaining on the bench for that Spurs clash.

The South American duo have both been spotted ahead of United’s travels to the Welsh side on Saturday afternoon.

Alongside them, Erik ten Hag sees the return of Harry Maguire to the squad after his layout with injury. The English defender was impressing beforehand and earned himself the Premier League Player of the Month award for November.

Amad Diallo was also spotted alongside fellow youngster Kobbie Mainoo for the clash and many will be hoping that the Ivorian will be afforded game-time.

Altay Bayındır has also been confirmed as the goalkeeper for the game after André Onana travelled away with Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Of course, the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho are likely to be included but were not spotted by cameras.

Marcus Rashford missed training on Friday morning through illness after a trip to a Dublin nightclub.
