Chris Sutton warns Ruben Amorim about “ridiculous” Ipswich problem, makes surprising Man Utd score prediction

Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has warned Ruben Amorim and Manchester United about one problem Ipswich Town will cause them.
Ruben Amorim’s tenure as Manchester United head coach began with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Since then, it has been a challenging season for the new boss, who has managed just 10 wins in his first 22 games in charge.
United weakened their squad during the January transfer window by allowing Tyrell Malacia, Antony, and Marcus Rashford to leave on loan, with Patrick Dorgu being the only major addition.
Shortly after the window closed, the club suffered another setback as both Lisandro Martínez and Amad sustained season-ending injuries—two of the few players who had been performing well under Amorim.
Despite these difficulties, Amorim must find a way to turn things around, with United sitting just 13 points above the relegation zone. They have won only one of their last five Premier League matches and now prepare to face Ipswich once again.
Meanwhile, the Tractor Boys will see this fixture as a crucial opportunity to take a step closer to retaining their top-flight status.
Sutton warns Amorim about Ipswich problem and makes score prediction
The upcoming game on paper should be a relatively easy clash considering Ipswich being a newly promoted side and United playing at home.
But as United fans know, games are not played on paper and their team have been struggling, even more so at Old Trafford under Amorim.
Kieran McKenna’s men lost 4-1 against Tottenham Hotspur last time out but provided attacking threat that could scare Amorim’s side on Wednesday night.
That is exactly what ex-Blackburn striker Chris Sutton has warned the Reds about in his BBC Sport score predictions column, claiming that Ipswich “created a ridiculous amount of chances” last time out and suggests that they will get the same opportunities at Old Trafford.
“You just don’t know which United side is going to turn up and, in the first half against Everton on Saturday, they were absolutely woeful,” said Sutton.
“United do deserve some credit for the way they fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Goodison Park but I am not convinced by them at all.
“Ipswich ended up losing 4-1 to Tottenham at the weekend but they created a ridiculous amount of chances in that game, and they will get opportunities here too because Liam Delap is such a handful.”
Despite that, Sutton still believes that United will edge the game at Old Trafford, winning 2-1 against the relegation-threatened side.
He added: “A win for the Tractor Boys would be huge, especially now the gap to fourth-bottom Wolves has grown to five points, but despite United’s many problems I just have a feeling Amorim will get a win, somehow.”
Amorim’s biggest United concern for Ipswich
While United will certainly be cautious about how to defend against an energetic Ipswich attack, their more pressing concern will be how to score goals themselves.
Other than a brilliant free-kick from Bruno Fernandes and a surprising volley from Manuel Ugarte, United did not look like scoring against Everton last time out.

Alejandro Garnacho is currently on a run of 19 games without a goal while Rasmus Højlund is currently on a 16-match goalless streak.
Amorim needs to find solutions in the final third for United, who are lacking confidence in all aspects of the game right now.
