Chelsea are planning to hijack one deal Manchester United are keen on making as Ruben Amorim is ‘concerned’ with one star.

Ruben Amorim joined Manchester United earlier this month and has been getting to know the players in his squad.

The 39-year-old will be assessing who he believes can improve and fit into his system, while also analysing the positions that need strengthening in the transfer market.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are planning to hijack United’s planned move for Wolves fullback Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The report says that Algeria international is on their ‘radar’ to replace Ben Chilwell as an option at left-back.

United have identified Ait-Nouri as one of several options they will consider to bolster their own defensive left flank.

Amorim has changed the formation at Old Trafford and now needs a specialised left wingback for the team.

TeamTALK adds that Amorim is ‘concerned’ about Luke Shaw’s fitness record and believes that 23-year-old Ait-Nouri’s desire to get forward can give United a new dynamic.

Diogo Dalot started at left wingback in Amorim’s first game in charge against Ipswich Town, which demonstrates the club’s need for an addition in the position.

Ait-Nouri has made 13 appearances for Wolves so far this season, and registered three goals and two assists.

Wolves are reportedly unwilling to sell the player but they will certainly be pressured with big clubs circling around.

United will be hoping that they have an upper hand against their Premier League rivals, who have Marc Cucurella as a first choice option in the position.

Troubles have existed at left-back for over a year now at Old Trafford and an external addition may be what Amorim needs to solve the problem.
