Chelsea make offer to sign “powerful” Manchester United target after Sir Jim Ratcliffe “unequivocal” claim

Chelsea have reportedly made an offer to sign Manchester United target Jobe Bellingham ahead of the summer transfer window.
Manchester United are in desperate need of improving their squad, with Ruben Amorim experiencing major difficulties since walking through the door.
The Reds are currently in the bottom half of the Premier League table and the squad at Amorim’s disposal is very underwhelming.
United will need to make changes in the summer window – in terms of both outgoings and incomings – and have to be smart with their recruitment.
One potential signing is the Sunderland midfield starlet Jobe Bellingham, who has been lighting up the Championship this season.
Young brother of Jude Bellingham, Jobe could end up being a cheaper option to bolster the midfield depth at Old Trafford with the likely departures of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.
Chelsea make offer for United target Jobe Bellingham
A new report from CaughtOffside has claimed that Chelsea have already swooped in and made an offer for Jobe Bellingham ahead of the summer.
It was added that United are among a host of clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham, and Crystal Palace, also interested in the teenager.
Chelsea’s early offer is said to have put them in the driving seat for Jobe’s signature but Sunderland would also be keen to keep the player if they are promoted to the Premier League.
It has previously been explained that an offer of around £20 million could be enough to secure the services of the “powerful” midfield talent.
Ratcliffe makes Amorim summer claim
United’s new recruitment approach under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS has been majorly youth focused and that makes Jobe an excellent fit.
The club want to sign players who will not cost outrageous amounts of money but can still improve into top class stars.
In a new interview on The Overlap this week, Ratcliffe said that he was “unequivocal” in his support to Amorim and the team at United for the summer transfer window.
“Yep. I’m unequivocal about that,” he said. “But bear in mind I’m backing the management team. They operate Man United.”
United consider Jobe a top talent and someone who can help the United squad, and that transfer situation could show whether Ratcliffe’s words are true.
