Casemiro sends Man United fans message as transfer situation clarified
Casemiro has sent a message to Manchester United fans following the pre-season tour after his transfer situation has appeared to be clarified.
The Reds completed their preparations in the United States and have returned to Manchester ahead of the new Premier League season.
First, there is a clash against rivals Manchester City in the Community Shield before the season opener against Fulham next Friday.
Despite being close to the new campaign, INEOS is still looking to make changes to the playing squad. Last week, they made a double bid for Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, which Bayern Munich rejected.
A midfield signing is also anticipated, but exits are needed to bring in new signings. Casemiro was one player who looked likely for a move at the beginning of the summer.
The Brazilian missed the FA Cup final with a late injury after an underwhelming individual season at Old Trafford but is now looking likely to remain.
A report from The Athletic has stated that the former Real Madrid man is now also anticipated to be a United player into next season after conversations with Saudi Pro League clubs have gone cold.
Barring a potential late bid in the summer, Casemiro – who played 90 minutes and captained the Reds in their final pre-season outing against Liverpool – will have a part to play for Ten Hag’s team this season.
The 32-year-old took to social media this week to thank United supporters following the pre-season tour of the US.
“[An]other exciting summer tour with Manchester United in USA,” wrote Casemiro in a new post on Instagram.
“Thanks to all our fans for your warmest welcome!”
