Casemiro has backed one ‘quality’ star to be very important for Manchester United this season and Ruben Amorim completely agrees with him.
Manchester United have secured three major signings so far this summer in an attempt to improve the squad at Old Trafford.
Benjamin Šeško, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo all improve the attack under Ruben Amorim and they will be aiming to score plenty of goals this season.
Cunha and Mbeumo have both shown some positive signs in the opening two games of the season despite the results.
Meanwhile, Šeško is yet to receive his full debut since signing from RB Leipzig but he will be hoping to get some more minutes in the coming weeks.
Casemiro backs “quality” star to be “very important” for United
Despite his minimal game-time so far, Šeško is likely going to partner Cunha and Mbeumo in the frontline going forward.
The Slovenian is expected to start against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup and then could make his first Premier League start against Burnley on the weekend.
Casemiro, who has started both fixtures so far, is expecting Šeško to be ‘very important’ for United going forward and he believes he will help with the goalscoring issues at Old Trafford.
“It’s clear he has quality. He is a player who is going to be very important for us,” the Brazilian international said of Šeško when speaking to club media.
“I hope that it goes really well for him, because if it goes well for him, he’s scoring goals for us! I’m sure he’s going to help us a lot with goals.”
Amorim completely agrees with Casemiro on Šeško
Šeško has only been able to show flashes of quality so far. It will be interesting to see how he performs with more minutes heading forward.
He looks to be sharp on the ball and made some smart runs against Arsenal – his start to life at Old Trafford has also impressed Amorim.
You like to know the players [you sign], you like to see the videos of the player, and to try and get all of the information, but when you get the players you want the confirmation,” Amorim said to Sky Sports last week.
“And I felt that Ben is even better than what I was thinking. Now we have to be careful because Ben is going to be our striker for many years so we need to put that in their head and for him to settle down, to stay calm and to enjoy himself, because he’s really obsessed.”

While the United boss clearly wants to be careful with the 22-year-old, it is clear that he also thinks the striker will be very important for United going forward.
