Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has revealed he has no intentions to leave the club, despite the growing interest in him from several Saudi Pro League sides.

Signing for Manchester United in August of 2022, Casemiro arrived in England in a deal that cost the Manchester side £60 million, with potential for a further £10 million in add-ons.

One of the top performers last season in a United team that would go on to win the Carabao Cup, and reach the final of the FA Cup, Casemiro has been sorely missed by fans of the Red Devils this season, with the Brazillian succumbing to a long-term injury.

Speaking recently to CNN in his absence, Casemiro explained that despite United facing a downturn in results this season, he hopes that both manager Erik ten Hag, as well as himself will remain at the club:

“I’m not the person who decides who should be manager,” Casemiro stated. “We have qualified people to decide that but [Ten Hag] showed last season he can grow Manchester United.

“Last season we had really good growth and the team was trending upwards. Of course, Manchester United always needs more and more and always needs to be winning but we showed last season that we are capable of achieving great things.

“I’m very happy at Manchester United, as I’ve always said. The fans have always helped me. The club is always good to me.”

It is believed that Casemiro has remained the top target of Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, with former United player Cristiano Ronaldo attempting to ensure the move happens.

Reports last week noted that United would be open to selling Casemiro, as well as Jadon Sancho, and Antony to Saudi Pro League teams if they received ‘suitable’ offers.

Casemiro would make his return to action over the weekend, starting in United’s 4-2 FA Cup victory away to Newport County.
