Bryan Mbeumo has been answering questions from Manchester United supporters, including revealing who his closest friends at Old Trafford are.
Manchester United’s four latest signings; Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Šeško, and Senne Lammens; cost the club over £200 million as part of Ruben Amorim’s first summer window.
While Lammens has quickly become a fan favourite and Šeško has produced several promising displays, it’s Cunha and Mbeumo who have had the greatest influence on the team so far.
Mbeumo is currently the club’s top scorer with six goals, five of those coming in the Premier League, and Cunha has played a key role in big wins against the likes of Liverpool and Brighton.
United have lost just once in their last seven Premier League fixtures and will look to keep climbing the table as the busy winter schedule draws near.
Mbeumo reveals closest friends in United squad
It is clear that Mbeumo is settling in on the pitch at United and he also seems to be getting used to things behind-the-scenes too.
The Cameroon international was asked in a recent questions and answers session with club media who his closest friends at United are.
“I get along with everyone,” United’s no.19 responded, before adding, “But I’m most likely to be with Leny Yoro and Amad.”
Mbeumo and Amad have been building a relationship on the right side of United’s attack, and the pair also celebrated together after Mbeumo scored against Brighton.
His friendship with Yoro is no surprise either after Mbeumo admitted to meeting the Frenchman on holiday before his move to United was confirmed.
Mbeumo explains ‘unbelievable’ Anfield moment
In the same interview, Mbeumo was asked to describe the feeling of scoring at Anfield in the first minute for United last month.
The 26-year-old netted the opener in United’s 2-1 win over their rivals earlier this season and explained how it was an ‘unbelievable’ moment.
“It was unbelievable,” Mbeumo smiled. “Especially in front of their fans.”
That was a standout moment for the new addition and he will be hoping for many more of those moments going forward as he looks to build on a strong start to his Old Trafford career.
