Bruno Fernandes and David de Gea agree on Man United star after transfer exit confirmed

Bruno Fernandes and David de Gea have both agreed on one Manchester United star after their transfer exit was confirmed this week.

Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui joined the club this summer, and Erik ten Hag’s squad expects at least one more addition.

Several players are also set to leave, with Facundo Pellistri among those departing in the final weeks of the transfer window.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that Pellistri has completed his move to Greek side Panathinaikos, with reports suggesting the fee is around £6.8 million.

United are also said to have included a 40 percent sell-on clause and a buy-back option in the player’s contract, who originally joined the club in the summer of 2020.

Following the announcement, Pellistri took to Instagram to send a message to United supporters. He wrote: “My time has come to say goodbye. It’s been an incredible journey, full of unforgettable moments and experiences that I will cherish forever.

“Your unwavering support, both on and off the pitch, is something I will remember forever. I’ve grown as a player and as a person, and that’s because of you.

“As you say, once a Red, always a Red. Manchester will always hold a special place in my heart. Wishing the club and all of you nothing but the best for the future.”

Bruno Fernandes responded to the post on Instagram, writing, “You deserve the best ❤️”. Meanwhile, former Reds goalkeeper and current Fiorentina no.1 David de Gea posted his reaction to the news on X. “Facuuuu!! All the best amigo❤️,” he wrote.

The pair built a positive relationship with the young winger during his time at Old Trafford and captain Fernandes continued with his praise of Pellistri on his own social media post.

“Hermanito was a pleasure to meet you and play alongside you 🙌🏼,” began Fernandes.

“If is there someone that deserves everything good in a football career is you ! An example of professionalism and humility 👏🏼

“Big things are coming to you soon I’m pretty sure ❤️”
