BREAKING: Ruben Amorim’s 22-man squad for Man Utd vs Spurs as Marcus Rashford decision made
Ruben Amorim’s 22-man squad for Manchester United’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup quarter-final has been confirmed.
Rúben Amorim is set to lead Manchester United in his first domestic knockout match as manager when his team faces Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening.
United approach the clash full of confidence following a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory against Manchester City, sealed by Amad Diallo’s late heroics at the Etihad Stadium.
While Amorim’s main priorities are the Premier League and Europa League campaigns, his team must now turn their focus to a tough midweek cup challenge.
Marcus Rashford was not spotted as the squad departed Manchester for the capital on Wednesday afternoon following the forward’s comments about his future on Tuesday.
Alejandro Garnacho, however, was reinstated to the squad after the attacking pair were absent against Manchester City.
Jonny Evans also returned to the squad after a recent injury while Noussair Mazraoui has recovered from an issue which forced him off the pitch against Pep Guardiola’s side on the weekend.
Mason Mount and Luke Shaw are the only absences through injury.
