Benjamin Sesko has shared his immediate thoughts on Ruben Amorim following his recent transfer to Manchester United, where he had the opportunity to meet the head coach.
Benjamin Šeško was the third major transfer of the summer window for Manchester United, and he comes in to complete the brand new front three.
After scoring only 44 in the Premier League last season, Ruben Amorim’s side set their sights on heavily reinforcing the forward line ahead of the new campaign.
The Red Devils initially brought in their top target, Matheus Cunha, for the left-hand side before acquiring Bryan Mbeumo for the right flank, leaving Šeško to slot in through the middle.
With many United fans now eagerly anticipating the Slovenian’s debut at the club, Sesko has been interviewed, where he gives his immediate thoughts on his new manager.
Sesko’s thoughts on ‘historical’ United
In his first official interview with the club’s media, Šeško was asked how he felt about being at the club, to which he replied, stating that he could already tell they were going to be a ‘great family’.
The Slovenian forward said, “Just been here a couple of hours and it’s already been feeling amazing. I can already feel that we’re gonna be a great family, and it’s a pleasure to be a part of it.”
The 22-year-old was then asked about wearing the United kit, to which he replied, “It feels good, like it just fits well and I’m looking forward to just playing in it a lot, and trying to represent in the good ways possible.”
Sesko then added why he chose United, saying, “I think first of all, because of the club, it’s just a historical club that is unbelievable. For me, the team is great, it’s getting better and better.
“I think it’s just a great project in general, and I can’t wait to start, definitely.”
Sesko’s first thoughts on Amorim
The 6ft 5in striker was finally asked about his thoughts regarding the United manager, and whether that was an essential factor in his decision to join the club.
Sesko replied, “Of course, I think this is really important, but in general, in football, great guy, great coach.”
Clearly, the former RB Leipzig man has a fond feeling towards the club already, and he seems eager to impress from the get-go.
The Red Devils take on Arsenal in their opening Premier League game on Sunday, 17 August, so it will be interesting to see if Sesko plays and, if so, whether he reaches the heights many think he can.
