Benjamin Šeško reveals excitement for ‘incredibly big’ Manchester United clash as he makes three improvements in training

Manchester United’s new striker Benjamin Šeško has revealed his excitement for an ‘incredibly big’ upcoming clash for the Reds.

Benjamin Šeško completed a summer move from RB Leipzig to Manchester United as part of the club’s efforts to strengthen their attacking options at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old forward, who had long been on United’s radar, arrived alongside Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Senne Lammens.

Šeško made his debut against Arsenal, coming on as a second-half substitute, and has since featured in three further matches, with just one start so far.

When he returns from international duty with Slovenia, Šeško could make his full Premier League debut in the away clash with Manchester City.

When the Reds travel to the Etihad Stadium later this month, Cunha might not be fit after suffering injury against Burnley. He played as the no.9 in the opening three Premier League fixtures.

That could present Šeško with the opportunity to start his first Premier League clash. In the meantime, he is focused on his international duties.

Slovenia are playing World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Switzerland over the next week and United’s new striker will be keen to impress.

But he has also expressed his excitement about his first Manchester derby, claiming that it is an ‘incredibly big match’.

“It’s true, it’s an incredibly big match coming up. There will simply be some pressure on both sides to just win this match,” Šeško told Slovenian outlet Ekipa.

“There’s still quite a bit to go until this match, but we’re definitely looking forward to a top-notch match.”

Šeško making improvements in training

In that same interview, Šeško detailed the improvements he has been making on the training ground as he gets used to life in England.

Not only does the 22-year-old believe he is making positive strides in the pace of his play, but also on the mental side, which is crucial when playing at Old Trafford.

“I am very much looking forward to the coming period,” continued Šeško. “Also because I am getting better and faster in every training session, and I am also progressing in my football mentality every day.”

United fans will be eager to see those improvements on the pitch when Šeško returns to the club in two weeks’ time.
