Benjamin Šeško has been full of praise for one of his teammates following his £66.3 million summer transfer to Manchester United.
Benjamin Šeško has burst into life in the last few weeks at Manchester United, having scored five goals in his last six games for the Reds.
After scoring just two in his opening 16 games under Rúben Amorim, Šeško has come up with some huge Premier League goals against Burnley, Fulham, and West Ham, with his four across the three games earning the club an extra five Premier League points.
The 22-year-old signed from RB Leipzig in the summer for an initial fee of around £66.3 million, but has struggled to nail down a place in the starting XI due to the positive form of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha of late.
But, with United not playing for over a week until they face Everton, many are hoping that the Slovenian will be given a chance to start and show himself under Michael Carrick.
Dalot has help Šeško settle in
Šeško’s record at United has actually not been too bad, considering that many of his 23 appearances have been from the bench. The 22-year-old has seven goals and one assist in 14.25 90s.
Speaking on the club’s Inside Carrington podcast, Šeško explained that off the pitch, it’s been Diogo Dalot who took him under his wing early on and helped him settle.
“Diogo Dalot, like he really helped me from the start,” explained Šeško.
“He was really trying to help me in all the ways because it’s a different world here. I’m really grateful he helped me. We are still pushing every day and doing all the work together if possible.”
Šeško is dedicated to his craft
When United signed Šeško, part of their reasoning was his dedication to football. Even on days off without training, he is doing everything he can to stay fit, active, and healthy, and to soothe his mind and body.

“It’s been amazing, a new world for me,” Šeško said when asked how he’s settled into life in Manchester. “A lot of emotions, obviously, but it’s been nice and fun. I’ve really enjoyed it. If I take a day off, I like to wake up at 7am because it’s good to have a routine.
“I try to enjoy it as much as possible, have a coffee, and I’m a big, big guy in terms of doing visualisations, which are meditations. I’ve been doing this for a couple of years, it became my daily routine.
“Then I will go for some treatment and gym work if possible. Then I like to enjoy my day. I enjoy to play basketball. I like to be active and not stay in the one place for too long. I will try to read a book, get some knowledge out of it, and some sofa time, which is also really important.”
