Ayden Heaven sends one-word message to Manchester United star after “heart-breaking” injury scare

Ayden Heaven was unfortunately forced off the pitch through injury during Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City on the weekend.
Manchester United signed Ayden Heaven from Arsenal in the January transfer window for a reported £1.5 million fee.
The 18-year-old centre-back was rumoured to be coming in as a first-team signing for Ruben Amorim’s squad. He was an unused substitute against Everton and Ipswich Town before making him debut against Fulham in the FA Cup.
After impressing in that cameo, Heaven was once again called upon against his former side Arsenal after Leny Yoro was forced off with an injury at half-time.
Heaven looked the part, with confidence in his defending and ball-playing. He was rewarded with a start in the 4-1 win over Real Sociedad last week, where he was one of United’s best players.
The trend continued for the teenage defender, who started in the Premier League for the first time against The Foxes and was United’s standout performer in the first-half.
However, after a collision with Patson Daka at the back post early in the second half, Heaven looked in extreme pain on the sidelines and was stretchered off with a “heart-breaking” injury.
Heaven sends one-word message to United star
Despite the strong performance and result from United, the injury to Heaven left many supporters somewhat deflated on the evening.
On the other hand, it was extremely good to see Rasmus Højlund finally break his long goalless drought with a finish that suggested no shortness of confidence.
The 22-year-old Dane smashed the ball across goal with his weaker foot to open the scoring and it would have been a moment of relief for him after constant criticism over the last couple of months.
Reacting to the game on Instagram afterwards, Højlund wrote: “Yeah okay, might say I enjoyed that one.”
Heaven was one of the first players to respond to his teammate, with the injured star commenting: “Deserved,” with a love-heart emoji attached.
It was reported on the night that Heaven had his foot in a brace after the game but was walking unaided, which could be a positive sign for the teenager’s conditions after such worrying signs.
“Well, we have to evaluate during the week,” Amorim told reporters after the game. “He’s a young kid, he doesn’t know how to explain what he’s feeling, so it’s hard for us to know something.

“He’s a bit a little bit more calm now, but we have to assess during the week. But he’s doing a great job and it’s a shame if he has something for quite a long [time]. We wish him all the best.”
