When Ayden Heaven can return to Manchester United training revealed after latest injury update
A possible return date for Ayden Heaven has filtered through after Manchester United were dealt an update on the injury he sustained against Leicester City.
Manchester United turned in their most convincing Premier League display in recent months last weekend, easing to a 3-0 victory over Leicester City on a chilly Sunday evening in the Midlands.
Rúben Amorim’s side looked in control from the first whistle, with goals from Rasmus Højlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Bruno Fernandes putting the result beyond doubt and sending the team into the March international break with renewed belief and momentum.
There were several bright spots beyond the scoreline. Harry Amass marked his senior debut on his 18th birthday — a memorable occasion for the young full-back — while Ayden Heaven delivered another composed and mature performance at centre-back, continuing his rapid rise through the ranks.
But what started as a dream evening for Heaven ended on a sour note. After an excellent first half, the 18-year-old went down with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
He immediately called for medical attention and was eventually stretchered off, a concerning sight that drew silence from the away end and cast a shadow over an otherwise positive night.
United handed Heaven injury update
Initial fears of a long-term setback were widespread, but early evaluations from injury experts have offered some hope.
Unless the youngster has sustained a lower leg fracture, he could be looking at a return within a matter of weeks rather than months.
Initially, Heaven was spotted walking out of the King Power Stadium with a protective boot around his leg and ankle, but a positive update has now been issued.
In the latest on Heaven’s injury, the Manchester Evening News have now confirmed that Heaven’s injury is now not thought to be too serious.
The young centre-back is now out of his protective boot and is walking around Carrington without aided support, which is a very positive sign.
When can Heaven return to United training?
Further, the report states that Heaven may be able to return to Amorim’s training sessions once the international break is over.

United’s full squad is expected to return to training next Thursday after next week’s international fixtures are over, although Manuel Ugarte may not initially be present as he has to travel back from South America.
However, many United players such as Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee will have been resting and recuperating this week and will likely return to training earlier than Thursday, which is when Heaven may all return.
United’s first game back comes as a midweek fixture when the club face Nottingham Forest away from home on 1 April. Although this may be too soon for Heaven to return to action, he may be fit again in time to play Manchester City the following weekend.
