Benjamin Šeško’s Manchester United career has been mixed so far, but United legend, Andy Cole, has belief that the Slovenian can reach great heights at Old Trafford.
Rúben Amorim is yet to see the highs that Manchester United fans expected to see of the big summer signing, Benjamin Šeško’s as his beginning to life at Old Trafford has been up and down.
Fellow summer signings, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, have raised eyebrows since they arrived at United, with Mbeumo having recently won the Premier League Player of the Month award for October.
This came as United extended their unbeaten run to five games, the most recent coming away from home in a tight 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, thanks to a last-minute Matthijs De Ligt header.
It was in this game that we saw Šeško limp away from the pitch with an injury which United fans are yet to know the severity of.
Cole gives honest evaluation of Šeško’s United career so far
Andy Cole, who scored 121 times in a Manchester United shirt, has given his verdict on Sesko’s start, urging people to give the 22-year-old time.
Cole told Sky Sports News, “Yeah, definitely. Coming to England anyway, you’re coming to the Premier League is totally different to any league.”
He continued, “But coming to Manchester United and trying to make it as Manchester United number nine, you know, there’s going to be massive expectations on you. It could become daunting.”
“You just got to go out there, you got to do your own thing, keep working hard, and continue to do what got you the move in the first place.”
With the constant expectations on the United striker, there is an ever-growing pressure from fans, pundits and social media due to his price tag and reputation of the shirt.
Cole’s major success at United
Cole is regarded as one of the Premier League greats, winning the title five times in his career, most notably including the iconic United treble-winning season in 1999, as he played in a superb partnership with Dwight Yorke.
Cole’s knowledge and experience as a successful United striker gives him the best perspective of knowing the pressure of the club, and fans can be optimistic with his belief in Šeško.

With the run of good form in the current United side and the morale being at a high, Amorim’s players will look to go into their next game against Everton with confidence.
It is doubtful that Sesko will feature as his injury looks to be somewhat concerning for now.
