Andreas Pereira reveals secret reason behind Man United departure of “unbelievable” star

Andreas Pereira has revealed what he thinks the secret reason was behind why Angel Di Maria decided to leave Manchester United after just one season.
When Manchester United signed Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid under Louis van Gaal in the summer of 2014, many thought it was a sign of United getting their groove back after a poor season under David Moyes.
However, the transfer did not pan as many hoped, with Di Maria playing just 32 times for the club and leaving after one season, forcing a move through to Paris St. Germain in 2015.

Many recognise that Di Maria failed to properly settle in Manchester after life in Spain, and eventually left after burglars attempted to raid his family home.
However, one player who the Argentine World Cup winner left a lasting impression on was United academy graduate Andreas Pereira, who now starts every week for Fulham.
Why Di Maria left
Speaking to Rio Ferdinand, Pereira believes that a secret reason why Di Maria failed to settle at United and eventually left is because he was not able to cope with the pressure of wearing the No. 7 shirt.
“Di Maria, when he arrived from the first session he did, he was unbelievable,” Pereira told Vibe with Five. “He arrived from the Champions League final being the best player. He did the first session, and everyone said – seriously, everyone said – we are going to win the league. This guy is amazing.”
He continued: “I didn’t know what happened, it was crazy. He didn’t adapt, and then the thing happened with his family, I think this has a big thing to do.
“[I saw] a big player like this cannot play at United, the pressure is there. It’s difficult to play for United and wear the seven, it’s difficult.”
