André Onana reveals what he will help Leny Yoro with at Manchester United

André Onana has revealed what he and the leaders in the Manchester United dressing room will help Leny Yoro with in the coming months.
Yoro, 18, made his unofficial debut for the club on Saturday evening as United won 2-0 against Rangers in a pre-season friendly.
Despite having only started training with the club on Friday, the new signing was in Erik ten Hag’s lineup for the game and made an instant impact.
Whether it was making a goal-saving tackle or lifting a wonderful pass across the field to launch an attack, Yoro excited many fans with his performance.
“At the end of the day, if you have the opportunity to be a Manchester United player, that means you have a lot of quality,” Andre Onana told reporters when asked about his new teammate.
“He already showed that in the first half. He’s a great guy, a young player with really good talent. He’s good on the ball, and we will enjoy him this season.”
However, one of the things that United need to be careful of is the burden of expectation on the youngster. There has already been a lot of negative talk from rival fans about the move on social media.
No matter who you are, if you’re playing for Manchester United, then you will need to be resilient and be able to deal with the inevitable criticism that comes your way.
That is exactly what Onana needed to do when he started his United career poorly last season. He ended the 2023/24 campaign as one of the club’s better performers as they lifted the FA Cup.
Asked whether the 18-year-old has the temperament to deal with the pressure at Old Trafford, Onana added: “He will, he will… we are here to help him. It doesn’t matter what is going on, we’re going to take that responsibility as leaders.
“He’s a young player, we are going to give him time. We know he’s going to do alright because we have very good scouts here, so if he comes, it means he has a lot of quality.”
