Amad shows true colours with four-word message after Manchester United freak injury update

Amad has shown his true colours with a four-word message following the latest update on his Manchester United injury status.

Manchester United have endured a difficult period in recent months, with persistent injuries preventing Rúben Amorim from establishing stability in his squad.

Having finally settled into a consistent rhythm and a reliable starting XI at the turn of the year, United’s progress was abruptly halted in mid-February. Lisandro Martínez suffered a knee injury that will keep him out until November, while Kobbie Mainoo and Amad were also sidelined shortly afterward.

The accumulation of further injuries forced Amorim to name eight Academy players on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur.

However, there has recently been more positive news, with Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, and Mainoo having all returned to training and the matchday squad in the last two weeks.

Amad’s four-word message

United’s attacking threat has significantly dwindled in the last few months, with Bruno Fernandes being the only player showing some consistent form in front of goal.

A major reason for the drop-off has been the absence of Amad, who was ruled out for the rest of the season in early February after a freak ankle injury in training.

However, positive reports have since stated that the forward is ahead of schedule, with Amorim now confident that Amad can play before the end of the season.

On Friday evening, Amad himself left a four-word message to fans on his Snapchat story, stating “I miss this feeling” accompanied with a photo of him celebrating a goal at Old Trafford.

United’s latest Amad injury update

Following his freak ankle injury, United issued an official update on the player earlier this week.

When United’s squad jetted off to face Olympique Lyonnais in France, the club took the time to launch some official photos of the player back at Carrington taking part in individual strength training.

Although a specific return date is not given, all reports state that the club expect him to return in mid-May and potentially be available for the Europa League final should the club progress to there.

He could return when United welcome West Ham to Old Trafford on 10 May, or travel to face Chelsea on 18 May.
