Amad Diallo does three “dangerous” things other Man United players aren’t doing, says club icon
One Manchester United icon has delivered immense praise for Amad Diallo and suggested that he is doing more than some of his teammates.
Manchester United have had a mixed start to the new Premier League season, securing a win against Fulham but suffering a last-minute defeat to Brighton.
They will face against Liverpool on Sunday, with a victory crucial for Erik ten Hag’s side before the season’s first international break.
Amad Diallo has been one of the few exciting players for Ten Hag’s side. He stood out throughout the entire pre-season and has done well in the Premier League opening games.
He scored against Brighton and has been a danger in the final third, something that has caught the eye of former United striker Louis Saha.
The Frenchman believes that Amad is improving and that his game is based on three things in the final third. Creating, assisting and scoring.
Some would argue that other attacking players at Old Trafford are not as focused on those things, and United’s attacking record last term is example of that.
“There’s definitely elements of his game that he can improve and I’m sure that the manager’s going to push everybody,” Saha told BetFred.
“By scoring goals and creating assists, Amad is showing us all what we want to see.
“His position is all about creating chances, assisting and scoring goals and he’s doing all these things on a regular basis. He’s a dangerous player.
“We’ve seen Garnacho play in that position too, so it’s nice to see that competition in the squad.”
“We don’t want to see all these silly stats about pressing and ball recovery because at the end of the day, it’s about the end product. This is what all of Manchester United’s wingers need to do on a regular basis.”
