Amad has delivered his verdict on four different Manchester United transfers this summer including Marcus Rashford’s pending move to Barcelona.
Manchester United are making major changes this summer, not only in terms of signing talent but also looking to move some players on.
Among those looking to leave the club are Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, two wingers who have had frosty relationships with Ruben Amorim.
Amad is one player set to stay at Old Trafford after signing a new long-term deal earlier this year, but the 23-year-old is close with both Garnacho and Rashford.
While the Argentine does not yet have a transfer finalised, Rashford is on the verge of moving to La Liga champions Barcelona on a season-long loan.
Amad on Rashford and Garnacho departures
Amad played a part in United’s opening pre-season friendly against Leeds on the weekend and looked bright in the first-half.
Of course, neither Rashford or Garnacho were present on the trip to Sweden and the Ivorian attacker has delivered his verdict on their potential moves this summer.
Asked about Rashford’s incoming move to Spain, Amad told reporters: “Well, the only thing I can say is good luck to him, but I’m more focused on United and my team.”
He was then asked whether it would be a shame to see Garnacho leave due to their close relationship off the pitch.
“I think this is not really my problem,” continued Amad. “The only thing I’m thinking right now is how we will learn together as a team and yeah, that’s the only thing I’m trying to think about right now.”
Amad speaks on Mbeumo and Cunha
It is not all doom and gloom at Old Trafford though. Matheus Cunha made his debut on Saturday and Bryan Mbeumo is going to officially join the club in the coming days.
Both are arguably upgrades on the departing duo and Amad has express excitement about welcoming them into the club.
“Of course. We need good players in the team who can bring something to the final third,” replied Amad when asked about Mbeumo.
“We are really excited to have them in the team and I hope all together we can give something to the fans at the end of the season because they deserve it.”

On Cunha, Amad added: “He’s a good player, we need good players in the team and he will bring a lot to the team. So I hope he can give us some things different.
“Especially last season, we missed a lot of good players in the final third. He [Cunha] is a good, good player, he scored a lot of goals last season, so I can just wish him all the best.”
