Alex Telles sends heartfelt message to Manchester United fans after completing transfer
Brazilian defender Alex Telles wrote a farewell message as he leaves Manchester United to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
The former Manchester United left-back Alex Telles becomes the latest player to fly to the Middle East as he signs for Al-Nassr for a deal worth up to £15.3m. Soon after his departure was made official, the 30-year-old posted a farewell message, reflecting time at Manchester United.
Telles joined from FC Porto in 2020, thanks to his consistently brilliant performances in the Portuguese League. However, the Brazilian soon fell out of the ranks at United due to Luke Shaw regaining his mojo.

Despite having a hard time adapting to the team’s style as well as the league, the left back had a moment of his own in United’s Champions League win over Villarreal in 2021. Trailing by one goal at the one hour mark, the 30-year-old scored a stunner to equalize for the Red Devils.
During last year’s summer transfer window, Telles was loaned out to Sevilla for the rest of the season. With the addition of Tyrell Malacia and the emergence of Alvaro Fernandez, it was highly unlikely that Telles would have gotten any minutes under his belt.
The former FC Porto player turned to social media to post his message and thanked the fans for extending their support towards the player.
“Effort, hard work, dedication, talent, dedication, faith! I don’t know any different recipe in life to achieve and carry out our projects. When I arrived at United, I realized my dream of playing in one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“A giant with some amazing fans. A city where I made friends and was very happy.
“Today I close this incredible chapter in my journey, but rest assured that, as I always did in my career, I honored every moment of training and second game with the United shirt. Thank you, Manchester, thank you United.”
Alex Telles will reunite with former Manchester United teammate Ronaldo at Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
