Alejandro Garnacho reacts to Manchester United’s win vs Arsenal as fans make feelings clear

Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has reacted to Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal on the weekend.

Manchester United came away from the Emirates Stadium with a dramatic 3–2 Premier League win over Arsenal on Sunday evening.

The hosts dominated possession early, pushing United into a defensive shape and taking the lead through an own goal.

United hit back swiftly, with Bryan Mbeumo taking full advantage of a mistake in the Arsenal defence to equalise.

The momentum swung in United’s favour towards the end of the first half and continued after the break, as Patrick Dorgu unleashed a superb strike to put the visitors ahead.

Arsenal later levelled from a corner, but Matheus Cunha climbed off the bench to net a late winner and seal a memorable victory.

United were the better team on Sunday but also needed a bit of luck to score the equaliser in the first-half following a mistake on the ball by Martín Zubimendi.

However, Mbeumo still needed to be clinical and that is exactly what he was as he calmly slotted that ball past David Raya to start United’s comeback.

Last season, the likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Højlund wasted too many chances like that and the Reds now have players who can make the difference in the final third.

But Garnacho did react to United’s win, commenting on Bruno Fernandes’ Instagram post after full-time. He responded to his former captain: “T[he] best,” with a raised-hands emoji.

United fans were not glad to see Garnacho being happy for his ex-club. He departed last summer in questionable fashion after falling out with the former boss Ruben Amorim.

Bruno is a special player

Garnacho has not had a brilliant start to life at Chelsea and he is finding out that he will not be a guaranteed starter wherever he plays.

His praise for Fernandes also speaks volumes. There aren’t many players like the Portuguese midfielder and you learn that when you go and play with other teams.

The 21-year-old has not played against United since his departure. He was an unused substitute during United’s 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

The Reds will face Chelsea again in mid-April at Stamford Bridge and it could end up being a pivotal game in the race for the Champions League places.
