Alan Shearer makes clear Manchester United vs Everton prediction, one aspect will be pivotal for ‘scraped’ win
Alan Shearer has made a clear prediction for Manchester United’s game against Everton, with one aspect being pivotal.
Ruben Amorim began his Manchester United career with a draw against Ipswich Town, followed by a Europa League victory over Bodo/Glimt earlier this week.
Next up is a Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday, which has left Amorim with limited time to prepare on the training ground.
Despite the packed schedule, the 39-year-old is focused on maximising every training session at Carrington as he works to implement his tactical philosophy.
The Portuguese coach will be keen to get three points on the board for the first time in the Premier League.
Everton have won just once in their last five outings and sit 15th in the league standings. On the other hand, Sean Dyche’s side have lost just once since mid-February.
Shearer makes Man Utd vs Everton prediction
Ahead of the game, Premier League legend Alan Shearer has shared his prediction.
The league’s top goalscorer believes that Amorim’s side will ‘scrape’ through the game for the win and believes that the home advantage at Old Trafford will prove pivotal.
“After the first two minutes of Amorim’s first game you thought ‘here we go’ but it all went a bit flat after two or three minutes and I thought they were fortunate to come away with a point,” he told Betfair.
“He’s had a few days to work on the system and they’ve played in Europe on Thursday, but I think with the home crowd, Man United will have too much for Everton.
“Although, it won’t be easy. It’ll be tough but they may just scrape the three points.”
United are beginning to make it difficult to come to their home ground, with five wins and one draw in their last six games there.
Amorim will be eager to make this record even stronger in the coming weeks and months as he looks to get settled in his new job.
