Aaron Wan-Bissaka has sent a classy message to Manchester United fans after West Ham’s victory at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United suffered yet another Premier League defeat, this time falling 2-0 to West Ham at Old Trafford, which leaves them 16th in the table.
This marks their 17th league loss of the season, and their recent form is so poor that they’ve collected fewer points in their last five games than any of the teams that have already been relegated.
West Ham secured the win with goals from Thomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen. Interestingly, former United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka stood out as the best outfield player on the pitch and provided the assist for Bowen’s goal.
Although Ruben Amorim’s side failed to find the back of the net, they created several scoring opportunities but were repeatedly denied by a superb performance from West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
His best stop came against Rasmus Hojlund, who somehow failed to find the back of the net from a couple of yards out after a goalmouth scramble.
Wan-Bissaka sends classy message to United fans
Wan-Bissaka left United last summer in a £15 million deal which saw him arrive at the London Stadium.
The defender had spent five years at Old Trafford after initially joining for £50 million in the summer of 2019, but Erik ten Hag replaced him with his former Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui.
Like United, the Hammers have had a particularly poor season which resulted in Julen Lopetegui being sacked and Graham Potter coming in as his replacement.
Despite this, Wan-Bissaka has had a respectable campaign and, as mentioned previously, was a standout player against his former club.
The 27-year-old took to Instagram after West Ham’s 2-0 win but sent a classy message to United supporters, who applauded the right-back on his return to the Theatre of Dreams.
“Big W⚒️.Thanks for the warm reception today OT.🕸️❤️” the defender wrote on Instagram, with Alejandro Garnacho and Antony among those who liked the post.
Amorim outlines United’s biggest concern
United losing in the Premier League has become a regularity this season, and a 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham is hardly a surprise.
Amorim believes that this is the most concerning aspect of the job he has, with the need to try and remember that this should not be normal for such a big club.
“For me, the biggest concern is that feeling that it [losing games] is OK,” he told journalists in a passionate post-match rant.

“We cannot change our position so much so it’s OK. That is the biggest problem in our club in this moment because we are losing the feeling of we are a massive club and it’s the end of the world to lose a game at home.
“I think that is the biggest concern in our club.”
