Aaron Wan-Bissaka has named his favourite career moment following his West Ham move and Manchester United fans will love it.

Wan-Bissaka, who joined United from Crystal Palace in 2019 for £50 million, spent five years at Old Trafford.

During his time at the club, the fullback made 190 appearances and played a key role in the 2023 Carabao Cup and 2024 FA Cup triumphs.

Now 26 years old, he has signed a seven-year contract with West Ham and is set to face his former club in two months’ time at the London Stadium.

“To everyone associated with Manchester United, thank you. You’ve helped me fulfil so many dreams of mine and I leave the club with memories to last me a lifetime,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I’m so grateful for the love, help and support I’ve had from players and staff during the last 5 years and wish you all nothing but the best.”

After his West Ham move was confirmed, Wan-Bissaka conducted the standard media requirements of a new signing, which included a questions-and-answers video.

One of the questions that Wan-Bissaka was asked was the best memory that he’s had so far in football.

Initially debating the answer in his head, the fullback eventually came to the conclusion of his first taste of silverware. “First trophy, I’d say.”

That came in February 2023 as United beat Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final to lift a trophy for the first time since 2017.

Of course, United fans will remember Wan-Bissaka’s performance in that game despite him not starting the Wembley encounter.

The 26-year-old came on at halftime after Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin was giving Diogo Dalot a tough first half.

Expectedly, Wan-Bissaka shut down the opposition’s biggest threat and helped United win the trophy with a 2-0 victory.

United have since announced the signing of Noussair Mazraoui as a replacement for the departed defender, with Matthijs de Ligt also joining the club from Bayern Munich.
