One Manchester United player’s agent has been slammed for allowing his client to join the Old Trafford club a couple of years ago.
Manchester United have had a difficult start to the 2025/26 campaign as they sit 10th in the Premier League table after seven games.
The worst result of the season so far came in the Carabao Cup, with Ruben Amorim’s side losing on penalties to League Two outfit Grimsby Town in the second-round.
With no European football on the calendar either, United now only have league fixtures until they enter the FA Cup in January.
That has also led to several players receiving a lack of game-time which is starting to impact the morale of those not getting enough time on the pitch.
United star’s agent slammed for Old Trafford transfer
There have been rumours about Kobbie Mainoo being unhappy, with the academy graduate yet to start a Premier League fixture this season.
But Joshua Zirkzee has also not started a game this season and the Dutchman has played just 82 minutes over eight matches.
Rumours have begun circulating about Zirkzee being unhappy and that he could potentially look to leave the club in January in an attempt to push his way back into the Netherlands squad for the World Cup next year.
Zirkzee moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2024 and his agent, Kia Joorabchian, has been slammed for allowing his client to move to United in the first place.
“The question isn’t whether he’s a fraud or a great player, but he took the wrong path,” Italian journalist Franco Ordine told Tuttomercatoweb.
“He ended up at a club that’s become a cesspool, just look at how Hojlund was reborn in Naples. The agent chose the money instead of thinking about his client’s career.”
United were always going to have playing time issues this season
The lack of European football was always going to be an issue for some players at Old Trafford this term and the additions in the no.10 positions from the summer have not helped Zirkzee’s case.
Mason Mount’s re-emergence has also impacted the Dutchman, with Amorim clearly favouring the English midfielder in the frontline when the likes of Matheus Cunha are not in the team.
Some reports are claiming that Zirkzee is aiming to stay and fight for his position at Old Trafford despite the exit rumours, and he remains a player that many fans appreciate.
Zirkzee will be hoping at the very least that he can start getting more minutes off the bench so he can start making more of an impression on Amorim and stake a claim to take a place in the starting team.
