Manchester United reportedly rate 15-year-old Amir Ibragimov highly after he trained with Erik ten Hag’s first team last season.

Manchester United have a long and famous history of encouraging, finding, and creating world-class youth talent, with many of the great players of Old Trafford being born in the academy.

Erik ten Hag has overseen multiple talents to make their professional debuts, with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, and Hannibal Mejbri making marks on the first team in the last 18 months.

The Dutchman often lets a few academy players join in full training every once in a while, and the Manchester Evening News have reported that 15-year-old Amir Ibragimov had trained with the first team.

The report states that the young midfielder is considered “one of the club’s leading prospects”, and he was recently involved in a 5-3 win over Liverpool alongside his 14-year-old brother, Gazik.

Amir was born in Russia and joined Sheffield United’s academy when his family relocated to England. Having captained both United’s U14s and U15s, he is anticipated to make further appearances for the U18s by the season’s end.

He is set to remain with United during his scholarship period until he becomes eligible for a professional contract at the age of 17. Amir, who is eligible to represent both Russia and England, has already showcased his skills for the Three Lions at the youth level.

Additionally, Amir’s youngest brother, Muhammad, is now part of the academy, having recently switched from Manchester City.
