In a fixture that often causes a lot of excitement and nervous energy, this season the build up to Manchester United vs Chelsea in the Premier League at Old Trafford seems fairly moot.
Two sides who have been on mixed form in recent weeks, this match up should have been one which saw two sides battle to cling on to the fabled top 4 position; however recent results against Liverpool and Arsenal have changed that for the Red Devils.
A side that is facing mulitple players out through either injury or illness, debate was rife over who Ralf Rangnick should start against Thomas Tuchel‘s blues.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Tuchel said: “Man U is one of the biggest clubs, very famous and successful. I can only repeat I am very grateful and excited to play there [at Old Trafford] and arrive with a strong team. We arrive to win and play for the victory. This is a great feeling. I am not concerned about Man Utd. It is not my job and they will always recover. It is a huge club and the squad is full of individual talent. I am not involved, we have enough to do here.”
Meanwhile, Rangnick made a note of the fact that Manchester United will be without captain Harry Maguire, who is suffering from a slight knee injury, among others.
