Manchester United will travel to North London to face Premier League leaders Arsenal, with the match officials for the fixture being confirmed.

This Premier League fixture is lining up to be one of the most important of the season for both sides, with Erik ten Hag‘s Manchester United men looking to bounce back from their 1-1 draw away to Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.

Arsenal are looking to try and pull back to eight points clear at the top of the table, with Manchester City closing the gap on Thursday evening with a 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Match Referee

Anthony Taylor will take charge of the fixture, which is being broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK.

The 44-year-old has only been in charge of one other Manchester United fixture in the Premier League this season: the 3-1 loss away to Aston Villa.

He has shown 52 yellow card across his 14 Premier League fixtures this season, handing out two straight red cards, too.

Assistant Referees

Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn will be operating the lines on Sunday afternoon.

Gary Beswick was also on the touchline during Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City, in which Marcus Rashford was controversially ruled not offside for Bruno Fernandes’s goal.

Video Assistant Referees (VAR)

With the game set to be fiery affair, the man in charge of VAR could have a pivotal role in the result at the Emirates.

Michael Salisbury and Dan Robathan will be on VAR duty, in charge of the monitors at Stockley Park.

Fourth Official

Andre Marriner will be the man marshalling Erik ten Hag and Mikel Arteta in their technical areas.

Erik ten Hag doesn’t often get into much trouble on the touchline, however the release of Arsenal’s All or Nothing documentary last year has shown that Arteta can be incredibly active and argumentative in his technical area.
